Key Responsibilities – Safety Coordinator
- Intervenes in the case of unsafe activities or operations being carried out by employees within the workplace
- Develops the organization’s safety policies and procedures with EHS / safety manager
- Carries out research with regard to regulatory requirements and best safety practices
- Oversees and directs the entire process of accident investigation
- Organizes safety training for staff on a regular basis
- Performs audits and translates them into useful, digestible data needed for evaluations
Required Skills and Knowledge – Safety Coordinator
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly pass information to staff of company
- Good interpersonal skills
- Coordinating abilities that are of the highest standard
- A proven leader
Education and Experience – Safety Coordinator
- Bachelor’s degree or technical training in a safety-related field
- At least three (3) years’ of relevant work experience in a similar role
- MUST HAVE relevant safety certifications to work as a safety coordinator
Benefits and Pay – Safety Coordinator
- Healthcare, life insurance, dental reimbursement available
- Monday – Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM
- Starting pay at $34 / hr
- 401K after one (1) year of employment
