Key Responsibilities – Electrical Engineering Technician
- Setup and prepare modules and sensors for lab testing
- Setup new telematics modules for field evaluations
- Prepare and install sensors in tires
- Update telematics modules firmware and configuration files
- Field installation of tire intelligence hardware at customer site
- Update AWS cloud with vehicle specific attributes
- Support reverse engineering of vehicle CAN information over the OBD2 port
- Troubleshoot issues during testing campaigns at customer site
- Maintain, upgrade and repair of test hardware / software
Required Skills and Knowledge – Electrical Engineering Technician
- Experience in mechatronics / electronic or similar fields either via employment or college lab work
- Experience in the field of testing and / or vehicle diagnosis systems via employment or college lab work
- Practical experience in wiring, hardware installation, system set-up and configuration for testing
- Background in automotive electronic systems is an asset
- Computer skills (including light programming ability such as a minimum ability to edit excel macros, or python scripts)
- Able to setup a pc and new computer hardware
- Able to work independently as well as in a team
- Motivated, engaged, communicative and willing to learn new things
- Practical mindset and hand-on mentality
Education and Experience – Electrical Engineering Technician
- High School Diploma / GED Equivalent
- 2 Year EE Technology degree OR Current enrollment in an accredited 4-year BSEE degree program
