Job Description – Tire Management Mobile Field Service Technician

Goodyear’s Commercial Tire Management group is seeking a mobile technician. Primary responsibilities include installing and servicing Goodyear’s automated tire inspection technology. This role requires dedication to a great customer experience, a passion for technology, and the ability to problem solve unique technical issues.

Key Responsibilities – Tire Management Mobile Field Service Technician

  • Perform new system installations at client and customer facilities across the United States and possibly parts of Canada and Mexico
  • On-site troubleshooting and repair of equipment
  • Scheduled preventative maintenance

Required Skills and Knowledge- Tire Management Mobile Field Service Technician

  • Proficiency in AC electrical systems 0-120V and DC electrical systems 0-24V
  • Experience with computer and networking service
  • Networking hardware installation and maintenance
  • Ethernet cable termination
  • Computer component installation and maintenance
  • Windows operating systems
  • Basic knowledge relating to RFID systems, IP cameras, and vehicle detection systems
  • Familiarity with AC electrical systems exceeding 120V
  • Able to work autonomously, managing one’s own schedule
  • Able to problem solve new and complex issues
  • Able to clearly communicate, work with, and take direction from additional technical resources (remote support technicians, engineers, contractors)
  • Able to work outside normal business hours
  • Able to lift 100lbs unassisted
  • Follow site safety guidelines
  • Microsoft Office

Education and Experience – Tire Management Mobile Field Service Technician

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Degree or certificate from accredited technical school preferred
  • 3-5 years field service technician experience in relevant vocation, in lieu of degree
  • Clean driving record required
  • Valid passport required (if no passport is had, must be able to apply for one)
  • Must have personal van for use
