Key Responsibilities - IT Support

  • Maintain Goodyear PC/Laptop lifecycle management process for the Fayetteville Plant – i.e. – order new devices, setup and deploy to end user, retrieve off-lease devices and ship back to Akron. Maintain records of all devices and their lease status.
  • Provide deskside support for end user for Windows Laptop and Desktops to include but not limited to the following:
    • Install software
    • Troubleshoot installed software
    • Reset user accounts
    • Replace hard drives and move users data to new drive
  • Troubleshoot printer device issues (paper loading, connectivity, etc.)
  • Keep accurate records of user authorizations for audit purposes.
  • Ability to be trained to do user authorization and system access user maintenance for local Fayetteville applications.
  • Ability to be trained to perform backup tape rotation for various backup devices utilized in the Fayetteville location.
  • Keep accurate records of tape rotation as well as monitor daily backups for successful completion and report errors when found.
  • May require using ladders to reach IT equipment when assisting other team members in replacing and/or trouble shooting IT equipment.

Required Skills and Knowledge - IT Support

  • Able to demonstrate hands on working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Win XP, Win 7, Win 10 and Windows Server operating systems).
  • Able to follow standard work to image/reimage Windows Laptops and Desktops using standard Goodyear provided images.
  • Demonstrate hands on working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Teams and Share Point a plus.
  • Demonstrate basic networking concepts (DNS, IP addresses, etc.)
  • Ability to work with HP Thin Clients is a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent trouble shooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to document work procedures and follow standard work procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Education and Experience - IT Support

  • Four year degree NOT required
  • Two year associate degree in a computer related field, with a minimum of two years actual hands on work experience
  • Experience and knowledge of the the following:
    • Windows/Linux OS Support
    • PC and Printer Hardware
    • MS Active Directory (setup and maintenance)
    • MS Office 365 Products
    • Destktop Software Installation
    • Basic networking skills

Schedule - IT Support

  • Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm

Benefits and Pay - IT Support

  • $20 per hour, plus benefits
  • We offer healthcare, a 50% dental reimbursement, and free $25,000 life insurance
