Our Fortune 500 client in the automotive industry is hiring an Area Manager! You will be managing 6 to 10 associates in a large physical area. Responsible on shift for everything that happens in a 500,000 square foot warehouse with many others beyond their direct reports being located and working in the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities - Area Manager

• Manage associates from two different departments located in the warehouse
• Manage processes, manage flow, manage people, manage equipment
• Process and bill shipments on back shifts
• Communicate with office personnel, other area managers, freight handling service, truck drivers, etc
• Pay hourly associates, plan and coordinate overtime needs
• Drive a safe, clean, and healthy work environment for all

Education and Experience - Area Manager

• Degree is preferred, but not required
• Available for day shift AND night shift
• Experience in manufacturing/union environment a plus, also knowledge and experience in logistics or supply chain is desired
• Previous management experience, however entry level type role
• Basic computer skills, great communications/people skills, level-headed with great work ethic
• Must be very flexible in ability to not only be at work, but able to cover vacancies as needed on other shifts when other area managers are gone.
• We conduct a background check and hair follicle drug test in accordance with applicable law
