Key Responsibilities - Business Analyst

• Provide analytics support to the operations team on a day-to-day basis (handling ad-hoc requests and working on long-term engagements)
• Evaluate and improve organizational processes of data collection and modelling: work with engineering on creating and maintaining data pipelines for centralizing disparate data
• Design and implement reporting of key performance indicators for the business
• Contribute to all phases of the analytics workflow: formulation, research, development, implementation, testing, and maintenance

Required Skills and Knowledge - Business Analyst

• Comfortable working in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint)
• Ability to work with small and large data sets to generate valuable insights: sound data quality practices and attention to details highly desirable
• Track record in delivering impactful visualizations/dashboards/websites: Tableau, Qlik, Shiny, Dash, etc.
• Inquisitive, passionate, and motivated to learn new skills, tools, and analytical techniques critical to solving business challenges
• Experience with databases preferred (relational and/or NoSQL): writing complex SQL statements

Education and Experience - Business Analyst

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or similar
• 4+ years of experience
• Has worked as a Business Analyst or Data Visualization at a technology company or startup
• Has experience organizing sets of data for operations or services
• Strong individual contributor that also balances out with productive collaboration
