Key Responsibilities
  • Review installation or demolition drawings from engineering department for bidding process.
  • Walk through with contractor bidders to the site, for installation or demolition of the equipment.
  • Supervise and assist contractors to do installation or demolition work to meet the project schedule.
  • Inspect new machines that are received, to ensure there is no damage and needs report to Engineering Department if there is one.
  • Review the safety practices of contractors and ensure all contractor employees are following Goodyear and Federal Safety Guidelines.
  • Report to Construction Manager.
  • Working together with Project Administrator, Safety Coordinator and Electrical engineer.
  • Working together with Engineering Department and Equipment Suppliers to support commissioning and minor equipment modifications that may arise.
Requirements

Education and Experience – Project Mechanical Engineer

  • High School Diploma
  • Post-secondary education (strongly preferred)
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s (strongly preferred)
  • Automotive, mechanical, or industrial experience (strongly preferred)
  • Experience with Excel, Word, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to details
Benefits & Pay
  • Starting at $85,000 salary. Can go up based on experience & education.
