Key Responsibilities
- Review installation or demolition drawings from engineering department for bidding process.
- Walk through with contractor bidders to the site, for installation or demolition of the equipment.
- Supervise and assist contractors to do installation or demolition work to meet the project schedule.
- Inspect new machines that are received, to ensure there is no damage and needs report to Engineering Department if there is one.
- Review the safety practices of contractors and ensure all contractor employees are following Goodyear and Federal Safety Guidelines.
- Report to Construction Manager.
- Working together with Project Administrator, Safety Coordinator and Electrical engineer.
- Working together with Engineering Department and Equipment Suppliers to support commissioning and minor equipment modifications that may arise.
Requirements
Education and Experience – Project Mechanical Engineer
- High School Diploma
- Post-secondary education (strongly preferred)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s (strongly preferred)
- Automotive, mechanical, or industrial experience (strongly preferred)
- Experience with Excel, Word, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to details
