We are currently seeking an IT-experienced individual in Memphis, TN. You will be part of the Technician Support Team.
A Monday-Friday schedule with daytime hours and great benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Hardware Installation and Configuration:
- Install, configure, and decommission servers, network devices, and other hardware components.
- Perform hardware upgrades and replacements as needed.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, including server crashes, network connectivity problems, and power failures.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance of data center equipment.
- Cabling and Connectivity:
- Manage and organize network cabling, including patch panel connections and cable labeling.
- Ensure proper cable management to maintain a clean and efficient data center environment.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor data center infrastructure for alarms and alerts, and respond promptly to any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, maintenance activities, and incident reports.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with remote technical teams to provide hands-on support for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to data center policies and procedures, including security protocols and safety guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data center operations.
Requirements
Education and Experience – Data Center Support
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
- Technical certifications or relevant coursework is a plus
- A minimum of one (1) year of data center environment or similar technical support experience, required
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including servers, networking, and cabling
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required
Benefits & Pay
- $20 to $22 an hour starting pay
- Daytime schedule (9 AM to 5 PM)
- Monday through Friday
