We’re looking for a Process Documentation Specialist who thrives on organizing information, improving workflows, and supporting training and compliance through clear, effective documentation.
What You’ll Do
As a Process Documentation Specialist, you’ll be the go-to expert for capturing and organizing business processes in a way that’s clear, consistent, and easy to follow. You’ll work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and cross-functional teams to ensure that every workflow is documented accurately and kept up to date.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and maintaining process documentation such as SOPs, flowcharts, manuals, and work instructions.
- Facilitating workshops and interviews to extract process knowledge from stakeholders.
- Ensuring all documentation aligns with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting training and onboarding by providing user-friendly documentation.
- Maintaining version control and updating documents as processes evolve.
You’ll also play a key role in identifying gaps or inefficiencies in current documentation and recommending improvements that support continuous improvement initiatives.
Education and Experience – Process Documentation Specialist
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about making complex information easy to understand. You should be comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects at once.
We are seeking someone to join our team who has:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Technical Writing, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in process documentation, technical writing, or business analysis.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with documentation tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or Confluence.
Additional experience that would be ideal, but is not required:
- Experience in regulated industries like healthcare, finance, or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation).
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Change management or stakeholder engagement experience.
